I am volunteering with the Bosque Buddies Animal Rescue organization to help foster puppies in need of loving homes. Currently, I am fostering a playful puppy named Penny. As a foster volunteer, I provide Penny with a safe and caring environment, help her adjust to home life, and support her journey toward adoption. This experience has been rewarding and has allowed me to contribute to animal welfare in my community.

I am excited to announce the formation of a Capture The Flag (CTF) group (LoboSec) at the University of New Mexico (UNM). This group is dedicated to exploring the fascinating world of cybersecurity through hands-on challenges and competitions. This group is open to all students interested in learning more about cybersecurity, regardless of their prior experience. The LoboSec group aims to foster a collaborative environment where members can share knowledge, develop skills, and prepare for CTF competitions.

I often like to participate in extracurricular activities to help the scientific community. This time, I volunteered for the Center for Water and the Environment (CWE) and helped in an outreach activity.

I was awarded the NDSS Fellowship for my research on the security analysis of Virtual Private Network (VPN) applications.

I placed 3rd in the 2026 Lobo Hackathon, a competitive event that challenges participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems using technology.

LoboSec placed 3rd in the 2025 AlamoCTF, a competitive CTF event.

This project provides a local API and a GUI to explore and analyze the entire CVE database from NIST.

A curated set of commands for automating common security tasks, vulnerability checks, and penetration testing workflows.

Obtained first place in the CTF held by Sandia National Laboratories!

During a guest Lecture for the class CS544 Intro to Cybersecurity, I delivered a tutorial on Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) and Privilege Escalation. The session provided a hands-on walkthrough of exploiting the Hack The Box (HTB) machine “Perfection,” focusing on leveraging a Ruby-based SSTI vulnerability to gain a reverse shell on the target server.

In this colloquium talk I presented my research on the security analysis of Virtual Private Network (VPN) applications. The talk focused on the development of MVPNAlyzer, an investigative framework designed to audit the security and privacy of mobile VPNs. I discussed the methodology used to identify common vulnerabilities, potential attack vectors, and effective mitigation strategies to enhance the security posture of VPN applications.

In 2020, I was the teaching assistant for the Object Oriented Programming course at UTEC (University of Engineering and Technology) in Lima, Peru. My responsibilities included delivering extra lectures, grading assignments and exams, and providing support to students by answering their questions throughout the semester.

At Le Wagon, I worked as a Bootcamp teacher and workshop tutor for their intensive Web Development Bootcamp. This program is designed to teach students the fundamentals of web development, covering both front-end and back-end technologies, and preparing them for real-world software engineering roles.

In Fall 2023, I assisted Professor Joseph Haugh in the CS357 Declarative Programming course at the University of New Mexico. As a teaching assistant, I was responsible for grading exams and homework assignments, as well as delivering extra lectures to reinforce course concepts.
